King’s College London is offering up to 9 scholarships to international students who wish to pursue a full-time postgraduate Masters degree programme in any discipline at King’s College London commencing in the 2019-20 academic year.
What is the King’s International Scholarship (KIS)?
King’s will be offering one scholarship per Faculty to an eligible international student starting a postgraduate taught programme in September 2019.Students may be undertaking study in any discipline.
The scholarship will be worth £25,000, and will be paid towards tuition fees,. Any residual balance after payment of fees may be received as a cash bursary.
Am I eligible to apply?
Eligible applicants must meet the following criteria:

Hold International (non-UK/EU) fee status and due to pay fees at the international rate;

Be undertaking a full-time postgraduate taught Masters degree programme, commencing Sept 2019;

Hold a conditional or unconditional offer of a place on the relevant programme;
-
Have applied to King’s no later than 31 March 2019;

Fulfil the relevant academic and English Language proficiency requirements set by King’s;

Complete and submit the necessary scholarship application form and supporting documentation by the stated deadline of 15 May 2019;

The scholarship is to be allocated towards the cost of tuition fees. Any remaining funds will be issued as a one-off payment or cash bursary;

Students who are already registered on their respective postgraduate programme are not eligible to apply;

Part-time degree programmes are not eligible;

Students liable to pay tuition fees at the Home/EU rate are not eligible;

Distance learning programmes are not eligible;
-
For programmes longer than 12 months’ duration, the scholarship will be paid during the first year only;

As the award provides partial funding only, applicants must be able to confirm that they have/are seeking the means to support any outstanding fees/costs not covered by this scheme, i.e. through other funding awards or self-funding.
How do I apply?
In order to be considered for an award, candidates must:
- Submit a complete online admissions application (via https://apply.kcl.ac.uk/) for a postgraduate Master’s programme by 31 March 2019:
*Important: admissions applications must be ‘complete’ in order for an application to be considered for funding (i.e. it must contain all the relevant supporting documentation required by the Faculty and Department applied to, such as references, transcripts, and English language scores). It is the applicant’s responsibility to ensure that all supporting materials are submitted in time for the Admissions Office to assess the application for a place on the Master’s programme (normal assessment period 4-6 weeks, but definitely no later than 31 March 2019.*
AND
- Submit the application form by 15 May 2018, 23:59. Note that this application form should only be completed after a complete admissions application has been submitted to the university and a conditional/unconditional place on the programme has been offered.
**Please note: due to the high number of applications, supplementary information or documents cannot be accepted once you have submitted your application. Therefore, if you are waiting for additional academic results, we advise you to wait until you have all of the relevant materials before your submit your application (but no later than the deadline of 15th May 2018).
Failure to submit both application forms, as appropriate, by the application deadline will result in the application being ineligible.
